LB3300 Rhapsody
LG and Mark Levinson worked together to develop this new handset, presented by the South Korean manufacturer as a real music phone, hence being in the same league as Samsung U470 Juke or BenQ E61. Rhapsody LB3300 comes in a slider form and provides 8 preset equalizer positions optimized by Mark Levinson to play any music genre, for any listener: from pop to jazz or from classical to rock. The phone comes with a 1GB built-in memory and microSD card support for a maximum of 4GB storage space, which is not bad at all. A feature of the Rhapsody phone that many users could find attractive is its music navigation touch wheel with LED lighting.

Measuring 103 × 48 x 14.7 millimeters, LG Rhapsody has a 2 inch TFT display, packs a 2 Megapixel camera and can come with either an 800 or a 1100 mAh battery (buyer’s choice). USB connectivity is available and a cool Bluetooth set-up is provided with the phone, allowing two listeners to enjoy music at the same time.

Nokia Nseries Upcoming
New Nokia Nseries will available maybe with 8 megapixel camera and Xenon flash. The top can be rotate to reveal its xenon flash unit.

While the N93 phone only has a 3.2 megapixel camera, this new phone that looks alike will have either a 6 or an 8 Megapixel one – the image shows only a sketch of the phone and it is not clear whether it’s a 6 or an 8 printed under the camera’s lens. Either way, the device will probably be the most evolved camera phone in the world. That’s if, in the meantime, Samsung won’t release its announced 8 Megapixel camera phone too. Or, who knows, maybe other important manufacturer is secretly working on a sensational camera handset and prepares it for a surprise release (we all know that Sony Ericsson, for example, already has a 5 Megapixel camera phone).

Java in iPhone Even after Steve Jobs stated that “Java’s not worth building into the iPhone”, it seems that Apple reconsidered the fact that the iPhone is not really a business phone and agreed to give it some entertainment functions. Furthermore, you should know that Apple thought about embedding Java compatibility into the iPhone even before launching it on the market.

This is proved by the ARM11 family processor running at speeds up to 667 MHz that is compatible with Java accelerated engine Jazelle. Jazelle is a technology that executes the Java bytecode directly in hardware on many ARM microprocessors. It is able to achieve a similar high peak performance to software compilation techniques, with fast start-up and smooth execution in a small memory footprint. Jazelle also enables multitasking, which means that users will be able to run multiple Java applications and games in the background with minimal overhead.

Opera browser
Fourteen independent Windows Mobile experts selected Opera Mobile as the winner in the all-important Internet Browser category in the 2007 Best Software Awards. All providers and developers of mobile Internet technology and applications have been analyzed by a judging panel of experts from the wireless community. Among main competitors there also count ThunderHawk and Skweezer, both highly evolved applications.

The greatest advantage that made judges choose Opera Mobile over all other competing softwares is that it resembled most of all the features and advantages that desktop browsers have to offer their users. Moreover, it’s a perfect match with mobile devices running on Windows Mobile. The software is currently being used by some of the leading handset producers, such as Sony Ericsson, Motorola, HTC, KDDI, Kyocera and many others. This preference should also account as recognition for the browser’s quality, although the official award is just as good as it gets.
